All our breads are based on the nourishing sourdough process, with long fermentations for maximum digestibility and flavor. This is the way bread has always traditionally been made. Our sourdough starter is responsible for all the wonderful fermentation at our bakery.
We ship shards of our dehydrated starter fed with a mix of fresh stoneground whole grain flours from local California farms. Starter is stable and ready whenever you want to rehydrate. Instructions for feeding are included in every order. Use it to jumpstart a new mother and get baking quickly or to add a robust culture to your already bubbling pet.
